Every week Lauren asks her guests 5 quick-fire questions…
What’s one thing you wish you’d known when you started this journey?
“This is a funny one because I felt like every lesson that I have learnt in business has been so perfect for the time (I haven't wanted to know it before). I can’t look back on a time and wish I knew (something) when I started because I know, myself, would not have taken that lesson, or piece of knowledge with as much weight as I would if it had come at the time that it did.”
What’s one thing you wish you’d done sooner in your business?
“Delegation.”
Why do you do what you do?
“I think that suffering sucks. Like most people, we don’t like to suffer and I think that health and exercise and fitness is a big part of what can… eliminate it. And when I look at the way we’re moving, and the direction of movement and the human race, I think it’s something that really needs to be addressed.”
What’s the best part about your job?
“The Vertue Crew. I just love them! The facebook page, the sharing community that’s been created off the back of the Vertue Method, is, it’s so supportive. I feel like crying when I think about them, it’s really powerful….It’s through that self awareness that self-empowerment develops and so people are really open and willing to share stuff with each other. And that vulnerability creates connection, and connection creates a sense of belonging, and a sense of belonging is what we’re all looking for. .”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Probably the best advice was about being authentic purely because it does help you. If you can truly understand what authenticity is to you.”
